One of the important principles for choosing a sound-absorbing board is whether there is an authoritative test report for the sound-absorbing board. Many manufacturers in the market are promoting the performance of their sound-absorbing panels, but they cannot provide authoritative test reports to prove this. All sound-absorbing panels and sound insulation coatings have been tested in Tsinghua University and Tongji University, and official test reports have been released to show the sound insulation effect of the wall composed of sound-absorbing panels. If the sound-absorbing board discloses how good its sound insulation performance is, but cannot provide a formal test report, consumers will definitely worry. Secondly, pay attention to whether the sound-absorbing board sold by the manufacturer is the same product as the sample submitted for inspection. If the samples submitted for inspection are thickened, weighed, made of different materials, or specially treated, and the actual sold samples are different products, it is obvious that the sold products will not achieve the sound insulation values shown in the test report. In order to achieve good sound insulation effect, the installation method of the sound-absorbing board must be very simple, otherwise it is difficult to achieve the ideal sound insulation effect. If a wall can provide sound insulation of X dB in the laboratory, then in practical engineering, it can only provide sound insulation of X-2 dB or even lower. There are two main reasons why the sound insulation value of walls in actual engineering is lower than the laboratory test value: including the transverse sound propagation problem in actual engineering, and the installation quality of wall panels in actual engineering is lower than that of laboratory professionals.
